Verdura Mela pro cream
Indications
Ideal for Psoriasis, vitiligo & hypo-pigmentary disorders
Verdura Mela Pro Cream is a pre-treatment topical cream containing Psoralea corylifolia (Bakuchi) extract 2%, a natural source of psoralen. It increases the skin’s responsiveness to sunlight and UV-based therapy and is used as an adjunct in the management of vitiligo, hypo-pigmentary disorders and psoriasis.
Verdura Mela Pro Cream
In vitiligo
- As a best vitiligo treatment cream, it increases UV light absorption into the skin and promotes melanogenesis, the formation of melanin.
- Regular application before controlled sunlight exposure or prescribed UV therapy increases the skin’s receptivity to UV radiation and promotes repigmentation of depigmented areas.
- Scientific studies have proven 65% increase in melanin synthesis.
In psoriasis
- The natural psoralen present in Verdura Mela Pro Cream is associated with reduced keratinocyte proliferation and decreased scaling when used with UVA or UVB exposure.
- Scientific studies have proven 41% inhibition with UVA and 100% inhibition with UVB.
Verdura Mela Pro Cream is suitable for targeted application over affected areas. The natural psoralen present in Verdura Mela Pro Cream is rapidly metabolized after UV exposure, producing a quick photosensitizing effect that increases the skin’s response to sunlight. It is safe for long-term use, with safety evaluated through skin irritation and skin sensitization studies.
